Yuposl Automatic Cat Feeder and Cat Water Dispenser Review

A 5L food hopper, a 5L water tank, stainless bowls, and no Wi-Fi app. Here is what the Yuposl all-in-one setup does well and where it asks more of you.

The Yuposl Automatic Cat Feeder and Cat Water Dispenser is worth buying if you want one unit instead of two stations on your floor. A 5L food hopper, a separate 5L water tank, six scheduled meals a day, and stainless steel bowls that never mix. Buy it if you don’t want an app.

How this review was made: written from my own video review of this product. Every opinion here is my own, from using it myself.

Quick Verdict

Two 5L reservoirs, one body, and the food bowl can never get splashed by the water bowl. That separation is the whole reason this one works. No Wi-Fi though, so every schedule change happens standing in front of it.

Buy if you:

  • have a cat that inhales the whole bowl in one sitting and needs portions spread across six meals
  • are tired of a feeder on one wall and a fountain on another
  • want stainless steel bowls you can pull off and wash without dismantling a tank
  • work long days or take short trips and need 20 days of supply for one cat

I Turned It Around to Show You the Back

The first thing I did on camera was spin this thing around, because the front doesn’t tell you much. The reason this unit works is sitting on the back: a 5L food hopper on one side and a completely separate 5L water tank on the other, sharing a single body. Nothing about the front panel telegraphs that split, you have to see it to understand why it matters. You can check the current price on Amazon here.

One Footprint Instead of Two

The money here buys you floor space back. Most people solve this with a separate automatic cat feeder and a separate water dispenser, which means two cords, two corners of the kitchen, and two things to refill on different days. This combines both into one unified body, and both sides hold quite a bit. Yuposl rates it at 20 days for one cat before you need to touch it again.

Worth knowing if you’re comparing: a dedicated fountain will circulate water more aggressively, and a standalone feeder typically offers more portion-size granularity. What you’re trading for this one is the consolidated footprint and the single refill routine, that swap makes sense or it doesn’t based entirely on how much floor space and how many cords you’re willing to manage.

Gravity Water, Six Meals, No App

The water is dispensed using gravity while the fountain keeps it circulating through a four layer filter, so it isn’t just a standing puddle in a bowl. On the food side you can schedule up to six meals throughout the day and adjust the portion size for each one. That could be especially helpful for a cat that tends to eat everything in the bowl at once, or for keeping meals on a more consistent schedule when your own hours aren’t consistent.

The controls are right on the front, and the display can alert you to things like low batteries or a food jam. That jam alert matters more than it sounds. A feeder that quietly clogs while you’re at work is worse than no feeder at all.

I also like that the food and water bowls are stainless steel and they are completely separate, so you’re never going to have to worry about water splashing into dry kibble. If you’ve ever come home to a bowl of swollen mush, you know exactly why that layout is the selling point.

Cleaning Is Where the Faucet Design Earns It

The detachable faucet design cuts cleaning time in half: you remove each bowl without dismantling the water tank. You can remove each bowl for cleaning without having to take the entire water tank apart every time, which is the part that makes people stop cleaning fountains after month two. The tank also has a wide opening, 3.43 inches, which makes it easier to reach inside when it needs a more thorough cleaning. Every water-contact piece except the motor base comes off.

There’s also a desiccant compartment on top of the food hopper to pull moisture out and keep the kibble from going stale across a long fill. Ongoing cost here is basically that desiccant and the filter, plus the three D batteries you’ll want on hand.

What It Looks Like Running on Your Counter

You plug it in and program everything right on the machine. That’s the whole setup. No phone pairing, no account, no router drama, which suits a lot of people just fine. It also takes 3 D batteries as a backup during a power outage, so a storm doesn’t mean a skipped meal.

The No-Wi-Fi Part Cuts Both Ways

This does not connect to Wi-Fi, so everything is programmed directly on the machine. If you’re away and you decide your cat should eat an hour earlier, you can’t. There’s no app, no camera, no remote feed button. That’s the real trade-off, and if you’ve been shopping for an automatic cat feeder with camera, this isn’t that product.

The other friction point: the 3 D batteries are not included. So the one feature meant to save you during a power outage requires a separate trip to the store before you ever need it. I’d grab them the same week it arrives rather than finding out the hard way.

Busy Pet Parents, One Cat, Dry Food

I could see this being useful for busy pet parents who want meals served at consistent times without managing separate food and water stations. One cat, dry kibble, long workdays or the occasional overnight trip. That’s the sweet spot. Multi-cat homes will refill a lot faster than the 20-day rating suggests, and anyone who feeds wet food needs something else entirely.

If you feed one cat dry kibble and you’re done managing two separate stations, this is the one to buy. If you want app control or you feed wet food, keep shopping.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the cat knock the lid off and get into the kibble?

No, the hopper has a lock on it specifically to stop pets from helping themselves. That’s also what keeps the portion scheduling meaningful, since a cat that can raid the hopper makes the whole six-meal plan pointless.

Are the stainless steel bowls dishwasher safe?

Yuposl doesn’t state dishwasher safety, so I’d hand wash to be safe. Both bowls detach fully, so washing them in the sink takes seconds either way. The motor base never goes near water.

How much counter or floor space does it need?

Plan for roughly the footprint of two pet stations side by side, since that’s what it replaces. It’s a tall single body with both 5L reservoirs stacked into one unit, so it wants a flat spot against a wall near an outlet rather than a tight corner.

Will one cat really go 20 days without a refill?

That’s the rating for a single cat on both the 21-cup hopper and the 1.32-gallon tank. Two cats halves it. I’d also still have someone check in on a long trip, because no feeder replaces eyes on your animal.
